Development

Development DepartmentCOU-TEDDO is the development arm of the two Church of Uganda Dioceses of Kumi and Soroti. It came into being trough a MoU between the two Dioceses in 2003 and operates in all the eight districts in the Teso Sub region (Amuria, Bukedea, Kaberamaido, Katakwi, Serere, Ngora, Kumi and Soroti). The organization’s overall goal is to empower the communities in Teso to manage disasters, harness natural resources, promote good governance and conflicts transformation for sustainable development in the region.

Programme Areas
The main programmes are aimed at attaining the overall organizational goal and objectives a defined in the 2010-2014 Strategic Plan (SP). Under the SP five programmes areas were identified as follows:
